[Resolved] Changing from "copy once" to "translate" will remove contents

We are having an issue where we will translate some pages on our site, but later notice some of the custom fields we translated did not save and are missing. We have been adjusting the WPML settings of the custom fields during this time, could that be the cause of the issue? If we adjust a custom field from "copy once" to "translate" will it remove content we already had entered?
