This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the confirmation email content from a contact form, although translated in WPML settings, is not being received as translated.
Solution:
1. Ensure that all steps in the WPML and Gravity Forms integration documentation are correctly followed. You can find the detailed steps here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/
2. Verify that the user's language preference in their profile matches the language of the email they should receive. This setting influences the language of the email content.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to send a confirmation email to users upon submitting a contact form on my site hidden link. The email content is supposed to be translated using WPML settings.

Symptoms:
The email content appears to be translated in the WPML settings, but the received email is not translated.

Questions:
Why is the email content not being translated despite being set in WPML?
Is there a specific setting in WPML or Gravity Forms that I might be missing?

Thanks for contacting us. WPML and Gravity forms are compatible and could you please refer to the instructions here https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/ and see if you've left out some steps?

Hi Kor,

Thank you for your message. I did follow the documentation. I also added that in the form for this support ticket but it doesnt seem to show.

The screenshot from the WPML editor is made from the translation as mentioned in step 5 of this doc https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/#translate-gravity-forms

I also made sure to use incognito so it was not any conflict or account related.
Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for your reply.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thanks for your reply.

I've tested it using the English Form here hidden link and it seems to work if you refer to the Email Log hidden link

Could you list the steps to replicate the issue?

Hi Kor,

Strange. I can see the log sending a translated message but when I test it myself (both German and English) it does not?

More strange; I tested within 5 minutes with my personal mail and received a translated mail...

I also tested with a colleague's mail address which also translated.

Is it a possibility there is a connection between users/admins on the website and the language on the mail?

Thanks for your reply.

Could you choose site default language and try to resend the form?

Hi Kor,

Thank you. I changed it to German and indeed received a translated mail. Turns out that the user language is linked to what language mail they receive.
Not sure if intended

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, which is why the default settings should work for most users.
