Help Needed!!

well on my woocommerce website icarmix.com I want to hide products in the secondary language which is not translated from the default language, how can I achieve it? also is it possible to hide them only in the related products section of the single product page in the secondary language? if it's possible then I would prefer it over hiding the overall products.

Hello there,

Thanks for your contact!

It seems that you're using the fallback option for the product post type in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types Translation. Perhaps try to change it to 'Translatable – only show translated items' and check if you'll have the desired results.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes. Thank you!

Regards,
Mateus.

Hello there,

Thanks for your reply.

Could you please show us the exact part of the website are you referring to? Also, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hi there,

Thanks for providing the credentials.

Just to make sure, do we have your authorization to make a copy of the website and migrate it into another server? In order to perform more complex tests without compromising the live production.

Please keep us posted about it. Thank you.

Hey there,

Thanks for your patience.

We could solve the issue in a copy version following these steps. We were trying to do the same in the live website, but the Chinese frontend triggers a 500 server error. Could you please check it with your hosting provider?

After this, please make sure to have a website backup and do the following steps:

- Go to your WP Dashboard -> Updates page
- Update every component there, including WooCommerce, WCML and the Porto theme
- Deactivate all of your plugins except WC and the WPML ones. Check that the issue does not occur anymore
- Activate one plugin each time and check if the issue will return when enabling some of them

In our installation the updates + plugins deactivation fixed the problem, even after activating all plugins back.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes. Thank you.

Hey there,

Sorry to read that you're facing problems with the website.

We just updated WPML and WooCommerce, since we resolved the problem doing this in a copy version hosted in our local servers. After a few moments we checked the 500 errors.

May I kindly ask you to restore a backup version prior to these updates?

Please let us know. Thank you.

Hi Fiona,

Answering your questions:

if you guys did everything in your local servers then how my web hosting space got full? strange

We can assure you that the only actions performed in the website were:

- make a copy
- after the tests in our local copy, we tried to do the same in the original website
- as soon as we updated WooCommerce and WPML/WCML, the website crashed

by the way, did you installed duplicator pro plugin in the webstie?

Yes, we did this in order to make the copy of the website. Perhaps this is what's causing the lack of space in the server?

Please keep us posted. Thanks.
