This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to translate product attributes from Finnish to English in WooCommerce. After translating attributes like "pituus" to "height", the expected number of products is not showing up under the translated attribute on the English version of the site. The client has already tried synchronizing attributes but to no avail. They also wish to display products on the English site without creating a full translation, as the product texts are mainly in English for both language versions.

Solution:
1) Ensure a full backup of your site.
2) Go to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency > Status > Troubleshooting (bottom right) and use the "Sync variables products" option.
3) Visit WPML > Support > Troubleshooting Link > Select Product and run the "Synchronize posts taxonomies". Do not select the "Reset languages" option.
4) Manually re-save the English Language Product by accessing it and clicking on the "Update" button.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend bulk duplicating the products. When you duplicate products, they will show translated attributes and stay in sync with the original products. For more information on how to duplicate pages and posts in bulk, please see our documentation: doc about duplication in bulk.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to translate products attributes from finnish to english. I have created translations to for example "pituus" -> "height". But after I translate it there should be for example four product with width of 182mm but instead it shows 0 products on english side. After I translated the attributes I did click the synchronize button but it did not help.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I tried to go through other discussions but could not find a reason why translations aren't working

What is the link to your site?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. While you await one of my colleagues to assist you with this ticket, allow me to offer initial troubleshooting steps to expedite resolving the issue.

1) Begin by performing a comprehensive backup, then navigate to Woocommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency > Status > troubleshooting (bottom right) and execute the provided "Sync variables products" options.

2) Proceed to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting Link > Select Product and run the "Synchronize posts taxonomies." Avoid selecting the "Reset languages" option.

3) Access the English Language Product at hidden link and manually re-save it by clicking on the "Update" button.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you encounter any further issues.

Thank you for the reply. I did those steps and then when I opened one of the products and created an english-translation for it, then it started to show in the correct attribute-page. My problem is that I'd like to have the products shown on the english side even if I have not created a translated version for english, is this doable? This is because the product texts are mainly in english in both language-versions (finnish and english) so I would just need to create a copy (translation) of every product to english side which would be a huge task 🙂

Hi,

in this case the best solution would be to bulk duplicate the products.

When you duplicate products, they'll show translated attributes and such. Moreover, they're automatically synch with the originals so every time you change something in the English page the Finnish will be updated as well.

Please see our doc about duplication in bulk
