Background of the issue:
I am trying to prevent new order emails sent to admins from being translated into the customer's language. I want these emails to remain in the site's default language. The issue occurs when a customer places an order in their own language, such as Spanish, and the admin receives the 'NEW Order' email in that language, where all product names will also be in that language (spanish).
Symptoms:
The 'NEW Order' email sent to the admin is in the customer's language instead of the site's default language.
Questions:
How can I prevent new order emails to admins from being translated into the customer's language?
Is there a way to keep the new order emails in the site's default language?
One of my colleagues will take on your ticket. In the meantime, I would like to provide some helpful information.
The emails sent to the admin are in the language specified in the user's profile. If you would like to change this, please go to Users → Profile and select a different language for your profile.
If the issue persists, please upload any relevant screenshots that could help illustrate the problem.
Most of the order e-mail is being sent in the user language. But not product names that have been ordered, they are being displayed in the buyers language.
This is making it a little difficult when it comes to fulfilling the order. Please see screenshot.
Anyway to show product titles also in user (admin) language in order emails?
1) In order to expedite handling your support requests, can you please share WPML support debug information from your site.
- To give debug information, login to your site and go to WPML → Support. From there click on the “debug information” link at the bottom of the page. - Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire content of the text box and copy it. - Now go back to our support forum, find debug information box and paste it.

2) Do you have a staging site where you could check few things that I will suggest? If possible please create one and try next:
- Make sure you have a backup.
- Disable all other plugins and leave active only WPML plugins and Wocommerce
- Switch to WP default theme
- Make a new test order and check if the issue still happens.
I do not have a staging site... I'm not sure how to do that.
If it's possible for WPML to not translate product titles, this may solve the problem.
For now, if someone orders products in japanese, I, as admin, am receiving the order contents in Japanese and will not be able to understand the product names.
