Tell us what you are trying to do?

I have a post type (Ressources) that was set to translatable initially and data was imported into that post type.

But upon further analysis, it will work better for the client to have this post type as Non translatable. I have set the correct setting in WPML, but it seems that existing posts still have a set language. How can I reset my posts so that they don't belong to a language anymore?

What is the link to your site?

Hello,

while you wait for one of my colleagues to take over, let me try to help.

You should first go to your posts Ressources > All > 2nd language, and delete any posts in 2nd language.

Then go to WPML > Settings > Post type settings > and set Ressources as not translatable, then they will not belong to any language anymore.

Let me know how it goes or if any other issues.

Regards,
Drazen

I did those steps yesterday. I no longer have the languages in the interface nor the metaboxes to manage the language of Ressources, but I still have the language information in the URL:

Also, I do not have any longer the link to switch languages on the page that lists Ressources (woocommerce shop listing)

Thank you for explaining. To clarify, do you still see the link you shared if you go to your non-translatable CPT? And how does this affect your site?

If this affects the site in any way, consider deleting those custom posts and reimporting them while the custom post type is set to non-translatable.
