I'm in the middle of developing a site.
I installed wpml and started to translate from greek to english.
The first problem is that it breaks my home page for some reason.
It doesnt show a section and the other two kinda becomes narrow.
Also the menu is one letter on top of another.
The last thing that is very weird is that in the returns page it show me to translate only couple of sentences even though there is a lot more than that.
I will provide some pictures.
Also i'm using porto theme.

According to your screenshots, I see the translation of the homepage is In Progress and the layout is different from the original page. Please complete the translation > Make a small change to the page content > Save > Update the translation and see if it helps.
If it does not help, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
1. For the homepage layout:
When editing the homepage in Greek and English languages, I see the layout setting is not synced to the translation page, screenshot hidden link
Then I go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation section > Set two fields "default", "layout" preference to "Copy". And edit the homepage in Greek language > Click on Update. Now you can see the layout is synced to the translation.
2. For the header menu items:
The same, when editing the Custom Header post in Porto > Templates Builder, I see the Container and Custom CSS are not synced to the translation header, screenshot hidden link
Then I set two fields "container", "custom_css" preference to "Copy" > Update the Custom Header post to sync the settings.

There is a lot of text but it shows me to translate only 3 sentenses.
You can see this in the other two pictures i provided that doesnt show the menu or the homepage.
I dont think thats normal .

For the page hidden link, when editing with Classic Editor, I see there are some Gutenberg tags in the content and one of them is not correct. I corrected the tag and now the texts are available in Advanced Translation Editor as well. Please check these screenshots hidden link
