Also, if you could help me in another issue I'll apreciate it. I have a custom type (Tours) created with ACF and it has the featured image. The translations are working fine. When the featured image is added, it appears in the translated pages. But if the featured image is changed in the meantime, it is not updated in the translated pages.
E.g. hidden link on this tour I have updated the featured image that appears on the banner, but the EN and ES versions is still showing the old image, as you can see at hidden link and hidden link. How do I get them to update?
Note that there are some images that have been changed to be different depending on the page, such as the word cloud that appears on the homepage.
Thank You!

Hi there,

You will need to do as follows:

- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.

Thanks.

Hi I did that but is still not working. Please notice this isn't a normal page, is a Tour (Custom Post Type), and on Elementor theme builder there is a template for this kind of post named "Template tours"
Here are some more examples so you can see the error:

In this case I've changed the feature image in BR(original) but on EN and ES is still showing the previous featured image
BR (original): hidden link
EN: hidden link
ES: hidden link

on this other example the featured image is not showing on EN not ES

BR (original): hidden link
EN: hidden link
ES: hidden link

On both Tours and "Template Tour" I made minor changes on BR (original), save it, and them edit the translations, but no effect.

The same issue happens on another custom post type (Equipa), so, maybe is some WPML settings configuration I'm missing?...
Thank you

Hi there,

Please go to the original page such as this one:

hidden link

At the right sidebar you will see a section for the featured image on WPML.

Please select those checkboxes there and click update, then complete the translation.

I did for the page in question and it worked.

Hi, it worked on that example where the img was missing, but all the other tour I have, that had a change on feature image, they still not upgrading to the new featured image

I've tried on this tour
hidden link

this tour
hidden link

and this tour
hidden link

all of them have the boxes you mention, checked. Also tried to do a small change on the page content and them use ATE to update the translations... and the featured imagens on both EN and ES translated version are showing the old featured image...

What am I missing?

Hi there,

I checked the and it seems that you use a complex Elementor template system to show the image on the background of a DIV.

Showing images on the background might have implications that it is not getting updated depending on which ELementor element you use.

But I am not sure, I would appreciate it if you follow the steps below:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Settings > Media Translation".
- Make sure that all the enabled checkboxes there are checked.
- Click the "Start" button.
- Wait for the process to finish.

After that test it with minimal installation:

Deactivate all plugins except Elementor, WPML, and ACF and ACF Multilingual.

See if it fixes the issue.

Thanks.
