This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues where custom field values of a taxonomy are empty after copying posts and taxonomies into another language using ACF Pro, while the values for the post type were copied successfully, we have a solution.
Solution:
First, navigate to the Field Group and set the translation option to

Expert

and save. Next, go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation and ensure that every field is set to either

translate

or

copy

, based on your needs. Then, make a minor change to the original content to update it and check the translation afterward. Alternatively, you can try deleting the translated post and creating a new one from scratch to see if the fields appear for translation this way. For more detailed guidance, please refer to our complete documentation here: Translate sites built with ACF.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We have posts in a custom post type and a custom taxonomy, everything created using ACF Pro. Both the post type and the taxonomy have custom fields (ACF). After we copied the posts and taxonomies into another language, the custom field values of the taxonomy are empty. The values for the post type were copied successful.

Thanks for your help.

Kind Regards,
Linus

Hello,

There are a few things we can try. First, please go to the Field Group, and set the translation option to "Expert" and save.

After that, go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation and make sure that every field is either set to "translate" or "copy", depending on what you need.

Finally, make a small change on the original content, to update it and check the translation after that. You can also try completely deleting the translated post again and creating a new from scratch, to see if the fields show up for translation this way.

Here's our complete documentation on the subject, in case you need it:

Let me know.
