Background of the issue:
I'm trying to translate the website using WP All Import Export but I'm facing many issues.

Symptoms:
Product categories are not translated automatically. Products are marked non-translated on Translation Management.

Questions:
How to fix the issue of product categories not being translated automatically?
How to resolve products being marked as non-translated on Translation Management?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

While you wait for my colleague to take over the ticket, let me try to help you with the issue quickly.

1) I am afraid If you are importing translated posts with taxonomies (categories, tags, or custom taxonomies), you must create the exact same taxonomies in your WordPress site before importing the post files. You can do this in two ways, please check our docs for more info:

https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/legacy-wpml-all-import/importing-multiple-languages-with-wp-all-import-and-wpml/

2) If you have followed our docs and correctly set unique identifier in you file and then in import template, it should work fine.

If not, please share with us video of your template settings for each step for both languages and we will advise further. You can use LOOM for this.

Regards,
Drazen

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

1) I duplicated it using WPML and then I used WP All Import to translate short description, meta-description and title.

Everything is fine except that the categories and attributes are still in French. Also, on WPML backend, they still ask me to translate the product even if I already did it.

What to do please?

2) I didn't use the plugin WPML Importer. I just noticed that. Is it due to that? I can override again if it will fix that.

Hello,

I am not sure I understand your procedure, can you please share step by step of what have you done / doing?

Also, taxonomies need to be created and translated before import, as our guide says.

Also, you need to have correctly created import file and template, while using our WPML All Import addon, for it to work correctly. I advise checking next docs:

Drazen
