This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing 404 errors with your translated Welsh events using the Events Manager plugin, it might be due to the permalink structure or translation settings.
Solution:
We recommend refreshing your permalink settings by navigating to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and clicking "Save Changes". This can often resolve 404 errors. Additionally, ensure that the Events Manager plugin and WPML are fully compatible and that you have manually translated the events. You can find instructions for manual translation here.

Please update your WPML plugin to the latest version, currently 4.6.10, and its add-ons to benefit from the latest bug fixes and improvements. While this may not directly solve your problem, it is essential for troubleshooting on the most recent code. You can check the latest released versions under My Account -> Downloads on the WPML site. Instructions for updating can be found here. Remember to backup your database before proceeding.

If this solution is irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket here.

Hello Jon,

This issue might be related to your Welsh events' permalink structure or translation settings. Please try refreshing your permalink settings by going to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and clicking "Save Changes". This action can often resolve 404 errors. Also, ensure that the Events Manager plugin and WPML are fully compatible.

Please note that the events need to be translated manually: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/.

First, you need to update your WPML plugin to the latest version, 4.6.10, and add-ons to benefit from the latest bug fixes and improvements. This may not necessarily resolve your problem; however, in order to troubleshoot the issue best, we need to work on the latest code available.

You can check the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on this site. Instructions to update can be found here: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/

Please remember to backup your database first before you proceed.

Hi

I have tried the permalinks reset, that didn't work unfortunately.

I have tried to update WPML items with the installer plugin but it won't allow me to activate the plugin.

If i set you up with Admin access could you have a look please?

Cheers
Jon

You do not use the installer plugin to update WPML. The installer plugin can be deleted when the WPML is installed. Please follow this guide: https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#register. You might need to click button Check for updates.

I'll ask for access if it's needed to check the problem further.

Hi

I have updated the plugin and the string translation addon. I've set All Events to be translated by the default wordpress editor. However, when i press Publish, the event doesn't publish and remains in the Draft state.

Thank you for your feedback. Could you please upload some screenshots so we can I can see the issue? Additionally, would you mind temporarily deactivating all non-WPML related plugins to see if the issue persists?

Does the same happen if temporarily deactivate all non-WPML related plugins?

Before proceeding with any updates, please remember to back up your database first.

Do you mean Deactivate all other plugins except WPML and Event Manager?

Its seems to be affecting the English Event. The Welsh ones are appearing in the list:

Hi

I can't deactivate plugin at the moment as my client is looking over the site.

Are you happy to login and take a look? There is already an Admin login setup for yourselves with the email noreply@wpml.org. Let me know and I can send you an updated password

Cheers
Jon

I need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site – preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible – in order to be of better help. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

We have just published a known issue here: https://wpml.org/errata/events-manager-translated-recurring-event-tickets-not-displaying/. Please check if you are not experiencing the same problem.
