Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the WPML plugin to translate an accordion widget on my website hidden link. I have three modules (templates) for the three options of my accordion. In the original language, it works fine.

Symptoms:
In the translated page, the accordion widget shows other characters instead of the expected content.

Questions:
Why does the accordion widget display incorrect characters in the translated page?
How can I fix the character display issue in the translated accordion widget?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

This may be a compatibility issue. Are you facing similar issues with any other widgets?

Please try the following steps after a full site backup and make sure the issue exists or not.

1) Upgrade to the latest version of WordPress (6.7.1)

2) Increase the *MaxInputVars* of PHP settings to *10000*. Please check the following article for more details or contact your system admin/hosting provider for this purpose.

Thanks for you standard recommendations: I did all but did not fixed my problem that is:
a) In the translated accordion it shows +- before the text
b) The translated accordion cannot be compressed or expanded
The accordion in the original page works perfectly

By the way, I cannot upgrade to WordPress 6.7.1 because a problem with the string translation that it is still not fixed
