This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is managing a WooCommerce site and encountered issues where a custom bubble indicating backorder status was not removed from the French version of the site after it was disabled. Additionally, a product disappeared from the French catalog after attempting a retranslation.
Solution:
Firstly, the issue might not be related to the plugin update. To ensure the string translation plugin is up to date, you can download WPML manually by following the steps provided in the WPML Downloads section.
For the issues with the custom bubble and product disappearance:
1. Navigate to Products -> All Products.
2. Use the top admin bar language switcher to switch to French.
3. Edit the French product.
4. Check the bubble settings to ensure they are correctly configured.
If these steps do not resolve the issues or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML Support Forum.

Hi, Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today. Please try the following steps: 1- Make a minor edit to the product in the default language If these steps didn't help, please share a screenshot of the string in the default language product's edit screen. 2) In order to update the String Translation plugin, please go to the downloads page, download it, and upload it to your site. Best regards, |

Good day Osama, When I go to go to Plugins-> Add New-> there is no commercial tab. For your knowledge, I am the administrator and I am using wordpress.com not wordpress.org. I have attached two screenshots to show you waht I am seeing on the add plugin page and on the sidebar. How should I proceed? |

Hi, Thanks for your update. Please click upload, then continue to update the plugin. If you faced an error, Please provide the WordPress debug.log; this will allow us to see if any PHP errors are being produced. More Info: https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ To enable it, open your wp-config.php file and look for the following line: define('WP_DEBUG', false); And change it to: define('WP_DEBUG', true); // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true); // Disable display of errors and warnings, which is recommended on a live site. define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false); @ini_set('display_errors',0); Then, try to reproduce the issue and check if any errors were saved to the debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/ directory. Best regards, |

Hi Bonnie, 1) I'm not sure why you encountered an error when you tried to update the plugin for the first time, but it could have been an accident. 2) You didn't get the automatic update because the new versions are gradually released to our clients. Please don't hesitate to open a new ticket if you face any other issues. We are always happy to help you. Have a great day! Best regards, |
