This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Some of the content wasn't appearing in translation editor. Client is using a compatible theme and used WP Bakery page builder for the content and the design.

Solution:
Although the theme is compatible but it was some years ago. Assuming that theme would have evolved since then and may have introduced new blocks, widgets and/or elements. Also noticed that they're using WP Bakery page builder.

It is common and understandable that some content does not appear for translation. Because this content comes through such page builder widgets or elements, which WPML does not recognizes.

To deal with this, WPML needs to register these page builder elements, so then you can translate these, just like the other content. We advise to check the following guides:

- Start here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/page-builders/how-to-register-page-builder-modules-and-theme-options/
- Additional Info: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/register-page-builder-content-for-translation/

Hello,

using CESIS template for wp.
when translating pages to English, there are things that don't translate:
- bullet points, they don't appear in the translation editor and I don't find them any where
- image as banner. I made the media translation, but as the image is in the template it doesn't translate.
- breadcrumbs , in Portuguese they don't appear, in English they appear.
- page format doesn't assume the like the page in Portugues, as the white space on the sides

Our services page.
- the media translation worked, but the image link and button link, they both go to the page in portuguese.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Thank you for the updates.

I see that your theme is on our compatibility list but that was some years ago (https://wpml.org/theme/cesis/). So I assume that theme would have evolved since then and may have introduced new blocks, widgets and/or elements. I also noticed that you're using WP Bakery page builder.

So it is common and understandable that some content does not appear for translation. Because this content comes through such page builder widgets or elements, which WPML does not recognizes.

To deal with this, WPML needs to register these page builder elements, so then you can translate these, just like the other content. I'll advise to check the following guides:

- Start here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/page-builders/how-to-register-page-builder-modules-and-theme-options/
- Additional Info: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/register-page-builder-content-for-translation/

Please carefully follow the guides and you should be all set. And let me know.

P.S.: As per our forum policy we can handle only one issue per ticket. In this ticket I've addressed text translations issues coming from page builder. I recommend opening separate tickets for other problems (i.e. media translation, site layout/design related), to get more to the point help, without mixing up several problems in single one.
