Hey there, I removed the credentials you sent because this forum is public. I strongly recommend you to delete the user from which you shared the information or at least change its password. Please send me the credentials in the recommended way below: I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it. Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you. IMPORTANT - Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access. hidden link |

Also worth noting: Under WordPress Seettings > Reading Settings, the 'Your homepage displays' selector isn't there, when WPML is activated. Which is probably why WordPress has lost the setting for the Home page to link to a static page (in this case Home). |

Haven't heard from you, but the issue seems to be resolved so I'm guessing you fixed something. I checked with my host who said the account itself had hit I/O usage, probably when I updated the WPML plugin, and this may have been the reason it broke the WordPress system, and the option to set a static home page was lost. If you did fix this, it'd be useful to know how you did so, as it seems this could be a recurring issue. |

Hey there, Thank you for waiting. Let me address your questions. I haven't noticed you had marked this ticket as private, I apologize. About the homepage selector in the reading settings, that shouldn't be the case. I just checked on a test environment, and the option is available with WPML activated. I haven't touched the website, it could be some caching issue that was solved with time. In this situation, we can leave this ticket open and monitor if the issue will happen again. Let us know in case you have any issues again. |

"In this situation, we can leave this ticket open and monitor if the issue will happen again." Your 'cleanup robot' is trying to close this, so you'll need to ensure it's not closed if you want to keep this open. Regarding the issue, I checked with my host, and it seems updating/using WPML caused our account to temporarily exceed CPU usage quota. This has never happened before, so I'm guessing WPML is using more resources in the current version, and something we need to be aware of. There are a lot of options we don't use, since we manually translate content, so an option to completely disable newer, unwanted features might cut down the load on the server. ok, I'm having serious issues with WPML now. I tried adding a menu to the sidebar, and after saving, the language menu switcher from the main, top menu, completely disappeared. I didn't make any changes to the main menu, I was simply editing the sidebar. I then went to check the WPML settings, and the website has completely disappeared - totally broken, so I'm guessing this is yet another CPU issue. This is totally unacceptable, the plugin appears to be completely unstable. New threads created by Lucas Vidal de Andrade and linked to this one are listed below: |

Alright, let's address the issues one by one. I'll create separate tickets for the other issues you brought here, this way we can check them in parallel and ensure they will be properly handled. The clean-up robot will close this ticket after 14 days of inactivity. If you wish to keep monitoring it for more than 14 days, you can send a follow up message here. About the CPU usage issue, here's the ticket. I'll answer you there: For the side-menu: |
