Hello,

i have a problem with a string translation of a upload files field in formitable forms pro. I have found the string that i want to translate after scanning the theme and the plugin, but when i translate the string, only the translation is shown in the frontend in both languages. Same thing happens to all the other upload files fields of the form. Please provide me with a solution as fast as possible.

P.S: Before you ask i have already deleted the string and its' translation and scanned the theme and plugin for 3 times. And i also have changed the string language, but without any change.

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) Would you please login to this sandbox site and upload the "Formidable Forms Pro" plugin? (hidden link)

After that, please create a test form and translate it to replicate the issue. If the issue is replicable, please let me know the steps to reproduce the issue.

2) It's unrelated to the issue, but according to your Debug.info, the WP memory limit needs to be increased. PHP memory is fine, but WordPress uses 40Mb as default. The minimum requirements for WPML are 128 MB. (Kindly check this page https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/)

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file right before the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:

/* Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Please let me know the page where I can see the form on the front end.

Also, I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

I have a copy of the site that i use to test any big change i want to make with the same theme, same plugins enabled and same content, but when i add the same field in my form the problem is not occuring. So i will have to give you access to the original site from Monday when i will have the backup ready.

My issue is resolved now. It looks like i can only see the problem in my pc and only if i am logged in as administrator, and nowhere else. So i guess that this is a cache problem with the browser i am using. Anyways thanks for the help again!
