[Resolved] Translate page is not 100% and see error in console
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was trying to translate the homepage with slider blocks but encountered issues where the translation page was not 100% complete, and there were errors in the console. The translation inconsistencies included links and slider images not being translated correctly, and sometimes the translations were not saved. Solution: 1. We confirmed that external links need to be manually translated as detailed in the documentation: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-links/ 2. We identified an incompatibility with the slider plugin on the English version of the page. To resolve this, we manually edited the English language page to fix the broken slider. After these adjustments, the slider functioned correctly.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the homepage which has slider blocks. The issue can be seen at hidden link.
Symptoms:
The translation page is not 100% complete, and there is an error in the console.
Questions:
What is causing the translation page to not be 100% complete? I can not see what is not translated.
What is the error in the console related to: hidden link? Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/slider-blocks/
Based on the error message, the issue is caused by some brackets in the translation.
I need to check your website backend to understand this a little bit more.
Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
So you used automatic credits to translate? What if there is no credits? What to do then?
1. As you can see in video when you started to translate the links where not translated. I have to do them every time I check translation page.
2. In English version image slider is not working.
1. So just the same as text. You did it in your video. If you go again I bet it will be the not translated again.
2. It is in apartments section where the images are: hidden link
Thanks for your reply. It looks like some incompatibility with the slider plugin and it has to be manually fixed by editing the English language page and fixing the broken slider. Now it works hidden link and could you please check?
