Background of the issue:
I am trying to fix an issue on my website hidden link after a recent WPML translation update. Translated strings are only displayed when the 'Look for strings while pages are rendered' option is enabled. Before the update, everything worked fine.

Symptoms:
Translated strings only show when 'Look for strings while pages are rendered' is enabled.

Questions:
How can I fix the issue with translated strings not displaying without enabling 'Look for strings while pages are rendered'?
Is there a known solution for this issue after the recent WPML update?

Hi,

I will try to answer the question before assigning the ticket to one of my colleagues.

Would you please follow the steps below?

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Support > Troubleshooting (link)".
- Click the "Show custom MO Files Pre-generation dialog box" button.
- After that, a pop up will show. Click the blue button and wait for the process to finish.

See if it fixes the issue for you.

Thanks.
