Background of the issue:
I am trying to include a manual translation for a header that was omitted from the source of the translation on my site hidden link. The specific page is hidden link where the header 'Weight (kg): 8,5' was omitted.

Symptoms:
The header 'Weight (kg): 8,5' was omitted from the translation.

Questions:
How can I include a manual translation of the omitted header in the right side of the content?

Hi There!
Thanks for reaching out to WPML Support.

Before this thread gets assigned to my colleague, I'd like to offer some initial guidance or potential solutions.

I checked the 'Weight (kg): 8.5' segment, and it seems the text was copied and pasted into the editor, which may have added extra formatting. This could be why the text isn’t appearing in the Translation Editor.

Please try the following steps and see if they help resolve the issue:

- Open the default text in the WordPress Editor.
- Remove the 'Weight (kg): 8,5' entirely and manually add that text. Please don't copy and paste the text from anywhere.
- Save the changes.
- Try to update the translation and check if the text is showing in the translation editor.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes. We'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

You competely miss the point:
there is NO "Weight (kg): 8,5" segment in the Editor, cf. image.
In the source of the translation it is between "Seat height(cm)" and "Material/Colour".
So the text WAS NOT copied into editor!
Please reply my question:
Is it possible to add a segment on the right side (result of translation) in Editor?
regards

Hi There!
Thank you for the update!

I completely understood the issue the first time and provided a response accordingly. The text may contain formatting or classes that could be preventing it from appearing in the translation editor.

To resolve this, I recommend the following steps:

- Remove the entire text from the default page/post.
- Manually re-add the text without copying and pasting it from any other source.
- Update the default page/post.
- Once updated, open the translation editor, proceed to update the translation
- Check if the text now appears in the translation editor. If the text appears, add the translation.

Please carefully follow these steps, and I hope this resolves the issue. If you need further clarification or additional assistance, feel free to let me know, and I’ll be happy to help!

Best regards,
Prosenjit

OK, I will do this,
But please reply:
Is it possible to add a segment on the right side (result of translation) in Editor?

Sorry, you are right - after manually renewed the segment with
"Weight (kg): 8,5"
it appears at both sides and is correctly translated.
But the segment as per image has the status "Needs Review" - I have not done anything.
My further steps?
thx

Hi There,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.

Glad to hear that the suggestion worked!

For the segments under review, the default text is formatted using HTML. To save the translation successfully, you must apply the same formatting in the translation using the formatting markers available in the Translation Editor.

Let’s take the text "Jaroslav Smidek" as an example. In the Translation Editor, you’ll notice that in the default text, the entire phrase is highlighted with a unique color, which means the text is HTML Formatted. To apply the same formatting in the translation, select the corresponding text in the translation and click on the marker with the same color, which in this case is the "em" tag. Please refer to hidden link">this screenshot for clarity.

Follow the same process for all segments, applying the correct markers according to the colors, and then saving the segments. This will ensure the translation is completed without any issues.

I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification. I'll be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Ok, I do understand.
The problem is however not "Jaroslav Smidek" - it has the same colour as the source, but the spaces around it - they have 2 different colours.
I have checked the source and really these blanks are bald, italic - makes no sense.
So I have corrected it in the source.
How can I make the Advanced editor know, that it should actualize this segment?
thx
PS I will check the

I have tried to apply your instructions to the spaces around "für" (translation) with colours as spaces around "for" (source) - no result.
What happens if I delete the markers (x)?
PS I have deleted the HTML formatting for spaces (bald, italic) in the source page, but Editor is nor aware of it - is it expected behaviour?

Hi There!
Thank you for the update.

If you've removed the formatting from the default text, the translation editor should detect this when updating the translation. Could you confirm if you've completed the ongoing translation job for that page before updating the original text? If not, it's expected that the changes won't appear in the translation editor.

To proceed, you can either complete the translation job by selecting the space before and after the text "fur" and apply the formatting, or cancel the translation job by going to WPML > Translation Management > Jobs and clicking the "Trash" icon to cancel the job. Once canceled, update the default text and then try updating the translation. The changes should now appear in the translation editor.

Regarding your question about deleting the marker: you won't be able to save the segment unless the same formatting is applied in the translation. Even if you delete the marker, it will reappear to ensure the formatting is applied.

Please try and feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification. I'll be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

1. I cannot complete the translation because 1 segment show “needs review”
2. It is not possible to apply colour markers to selected spaces before and after "für" – only to symbols (changing space to a letter and then applying marker doesn’t help)
3. There is no "Trash" icon in WPML > Translation Management > Jobs – I can choose Cancel Jobs and Apply, result – negative
Further steps please ASAP

it seems that different HTML formatting is not a problem, cf. image - NO formatting in translation at all - the segment saved!
