Background of the issue:
I am using the WPML Multilingual Plugin on a multisite WordPress installation. I want to configure the permalink structure for translated pages to follow a subdomain structure, such as es.medicaltourismco.com.

Symptoms:
The translated pages do not have the desired subdomain structure, and I am unable to change the Language URL format due to the multisite setup.

Questions:
How can I configure WPML so that translations appear on subdomains like es.medicaltourismco.com for Spanish?
What steps are needed to change the Language URL format in a multisite setup?

Hi,

I recommend checking out the sunrise.php drop-in plugin: WPML Multisite FAQ. This should be exactly what you're looking for.

You can find additional information about it here: hidden link">WP VIP Documentation on sunrise.php.

Best regards,
Marcel
