This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client wants to enhance their workflow by editing translations directly from the front-end page editor, aiming to translate pages from the main menu without using the WPML dashboard. Solution: We recommend updating the WPML plugin and its add-ons to the latest version, 4.7.1, to ensure all features function correctly and to benefit from recent improvements. You can download the latest versions from My Account -> Downloads on the WPML website. Follow the instructions provided there to update your plugins. Before updating, ensure to back up your database to prevent any data loss. After updating, if you still face issues with front-end editing, please confirm if we can reactivate the plugins for further troubleshooting.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to enhance my workflow by editing translations directly from the front-end page editor on my site hidden link. This would allow me to translate pages one by one from the main menu instead of using the WPML dashboard.
Symptoms:
No specific issue or error message mentioned.
Questions:
Is it possible to edit translations directly from the front-end page editor?
How can I enable the feature to translate pages directly from the main menu?
Welcome to WPML support. I am going to answer his question before the ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues.
No unfortunately as it will defeat the workflow of the advanced translation editor and if some edits happen later on the original language and translation is done via advanced translation editor it will overwritten.
But if you want to have a manual translation you can test for a page:
See if that way works for you, but please consider that means you will need to do the whole translation yourself and if you use the automatic translation you will not be able to use it as the manual mode and the advanced translation editor are two different tools and not compatible.
It seems that the page might be stuck. Could you please try the following steps?
1. Go to WPML → Translation Management → Translation Jobs.
2. Cancel the translation job for this particular page.
3. Send the page for translation again.
4. Translate it.
I need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site—preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible—in order to be of better help. When you log in to leave your next reply, you will find the needed fields below the comment area. The information you will enter is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.
I have noticed that the WPML plugins are currently disabled and outdated.
Please update your WPML plugin and its add-ons to the latest version, 4.7.1, to take advantage of the most recent bug fixes and improvements. While this update may not resolve your issue entirely, working with the latest code will help us troubleshoot effectively.
You can find the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on the website. Instructions for updating can be found here: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/.
If you don’t see the updates, you may need to click the "Check for Updates" button in the Plugins → Add New Plugin → Commercial tab.
Additionally, please remember to back up your database before proceeding with the update.
Let me know if the issue persists after the update is complete and if I have your permission to activate the plugins.
