[Escalated to WPML Developers team] Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'flag')
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
I am trying to translation Taxonomy Labels for custom languages but the label translation popup (templates/taxonomy-translation/label-popup.html) isn't showing, an error is being outputted to the console instead (see below):
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, the email went into an inbox I do not have access to.
The site has been migrated to Cloudways using the instructions you provided. It does appear to have stalled around 60% for the overall migration but the tables and files are synced. Are you able to check your end to see if it is working?
I look forward to hearing from you as soon as you've troubleshooter the issue we're facing. If you need any more information, please let me know.
It seems to be a WPML bug, and the issue has been escalated to our devs. The issue happens with the language code like “be_EN” which is simplified to “EN” (uppercase) and does not match any language in the js array.
As a workaround, until the issue is fixed permanently you could just translate the available label for translation language, and then go to WPML > String Translation and translate from there to other custom languages.
I am afraid I can not share any ETA or similar, but I do not think it will be so soon.
Sorry for not being more clear, I thought using WPML > Taxonomy translation for the languages that it works and for the rest go to WPML > String translation and add a translation for labels. There it works fine even for other non-supported custom languages.
I will change the ticket status to "Escalated to WPML developers team" and update you when I have some news on this.
