This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to translate specific strings such as 'Άτομα' and 'Αναζήτηση' in the search bar, and contact form field placeholders like 'Ονοματεπώνυμο' on their website using Elementor.
Solution:
We understand that you are using Elementor's default forms element to create your form. Currently, there is a known issue with translating labels in Elementor forms that use dynamic tags. You can find more details on this issue and potential workarounds here: Elementor - Not possible to translate Elementor form field labels with dynamic tags.
For the search section strings, we need more information about how you added these items. If they are part of a specific Elementor widget or a third-party plugin, please provide the name of the plugin.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I'm trying to translate some strings from Greek (site's main language) to English on my website hidden link. I have tried enabling the auto addition of the strings as the site loads, but they weren't added.

Symptoms:
Cannot find or translate specific strings such as 'Άτομα' and 'Αναζήτηση' in the search bar, and contact form field placeholders like 'Ονοματεπώνυμο'.

Questions:
How can I find and translate the strings 'Άτομα' and 'Αναζήτηση'?
What steps should I take to translate the contact form field placeholders?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. I will try to answer the question before the ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues.

From what I understand, you use Elementor default forms element to create your form. We have an issue with the translation of labels with that method, which is detailed in the erratum below:

https://wpml.org/ru/errata/elementor-not-possible-to-translate-elementor-form-field-labels-with-dynamic-tags/

For the other text that is part of the search section I am not sure how it is created. Would you please give me the details on how you added those search items? Did you use a specific Elementor widget? If yes, is it part of a third-party plug-in I would appreciate the name of the plug-in.

Thanks.

Ok I got the issue with the Contact form, by duplicating the page and changing the text directly in the page.
The one in the home page I think I can solve it the same way, elementor names it "Search form builder" and uses the same logic with the contact form. I will try to rename them the same way.

Thanks a lot!
