[Waiting for user feedback] WPML Registration and Connectivity Issue with gonewsi.com
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
Background of the issue:
I am trying to register my site properly with WPML to access automatic translation services, plugin updates, and SEO features. The site is listed under 'Your Registered Sites' on my WPML account, but it appears disconnected. The registration field does not appear in the WordPress admin panel, and WPML SEO is not functioning, which prevents proper sitemap generation for multilingual pages. As a result, Google is not crawling them. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
No access to automatic translation services, missing registration field in WP admin, and no proper sitemap for multilingual pages due to WPML SEO not functioning.
Questions:
Why is my site appearing disconnected from WPML services despite being listed under 'Your Registered Sites'?
How can I make the registration field appear in the WordPress admin panel?
What steps can I take to ensure WPML SEO functions correctly for sitemap generation?
What do you see in Plugins -> Add New Plugin -> Commercial? Does it say that WPML is registered?
I suggest trying the following:
- Please go to http://www.wpml.org/account/sites and delete the URL.
- Then add it back. This will generate a new site key.
- Then, go to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial and click the link to unregister WPML from your site.
- You will then see the field where you can enter the new site key to re-register the new key.
Does this solve the problem?
If not:
Please follow the instructions mentioned on this page: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/
Then, try to reproduce the issue and check your installation's **wp-content** folder to see if a file named **"debug.log"** was created (it will only be generated if a server error occurs).
If the file was created, please upload it to a platform like **Google Drive** or **Dropbox** (whichever you usually use) and share the link with me (make sure it is publicly accessible) so I can analyze it.
