This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needs assistance with using the currency switcher in WPML, specifically adding it to the header and using a shortcode.
Solution:
1. We recommend following the instructions on configuring currencies and adding a currency switcher by location or language, as detailed in our documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/multi-currency-support-woocommerce/#configuring-currencies.
2. To add the currency switcher using a shortcode, you can insert it similarly to a language switcher. If you're not comfortable with adding shortcodes or custom code to your theme, consider hiring a developer or a WPML contractor from https://wpml.org/contractors/ to assist you.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Hi,

Before your ticket is assigned to a colleague, I'd like to guide you through some initial troubleshooting steps to help expedite the support process.

You can follow the instructions outlined here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/multi-currency-support-woocommerce/#configuring-currencies. This resource explains how to configure currencies, including adding a currency switcher based on location or language. You can also add the switcher using a shortcode, similar to how a language switcher is implemented.

Do you have any specific questions about setting up the currency switcher that I can assist you with?

Best regards,
Marcel

Hi there.

WordPress is built in a way that will give you full control to add anything anywhere you want as long as you feel comfortable with either using shortcodes or php code.

Usually, depending on how the site is buit, there's a header.php file in your theme or there's a specific template that is build from the backend of WordPress from where you can add the shortcode.

Adding the currency switcher to a specific area might require custom work (custom coding) which falls out of the purpose of our Support Policy.

So, if you don't feel comfortable with adding the shortcode or if you don't know how to add custom code inside your theme, my recommendation is to either hire a developer or a WPML contractor (https://wpml.org/contractors/) that will help you accomplish your goal and display the currency switcher in the exact position where you need it to be.

I hope that you will find this information helpful.
