Background of the issue:
I am trying to enhance my workflow by editing translations directly from the front-end page editor on my site hidden link. This would allow me to translate pages one by one from the main menu instead of using the WPML dashboard.

Symptoms:
No specific issue or error message mentioned.

Questions:
Is it possible to edit translations directly from the front-end page editor?
How can I enable the feature to translate pages directly from the main menu?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. I am going to answer his question before the ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues.

No unfortunately as it will defeat the workflow of the advanced translation editor and if some edits happen later on the original language and translation is done via advanced translation editor it will overwritten.

But if you want to have a manual translation you can test for a page:

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

See if that way works for you, but please consider that means you will need to do the whole translation yourself and if you use the automatic translation you will not be able to use it as the manual mode and the advanced translation editor are two different tools and not compatible.

Thanks.

Have you added your user as a translator with the language pairs?

Thank you for your feedback.

It seems that the page might be stuck. Could you please try the following steps?

1. Go to WPML → Translation Management → Translation Jobs.
2. Cancel the translation job for this particular page.
3. Send the page for translation again.
4. Translate it.

Let me know if this helps!
