This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with WooCommerce product filters not showing up in a secondary language when products are set to "use translation if available or fallback to default language" and attributes are not translated.
Solution:
1. We recommend checking our compatibility page to ensure there are no known incompatibilities with your current plugins.
2. Consult our documentation on setting up a multilingual WooCommerce store.
3. Adjust the setting for untranslated attributes in WPML → Settings to ensure they display correctly when using the fallback option.
4. If products or attributes are already translated, ensure that all remaining attributes or products are also translated.

If this solution does not seem relevant to your situation, please feel free to open a new support ticket with us.

Hi,

I have seen a dozen of posts about problems with the Woocommerce product filters that don't show up. Within these posts dozens of link and explanations to other posts. I'm totally lost, i just like to find some info from the wpml team how to make this work.

Is there a WPML page that focusses on these specific Woocommerce filter settings? Not the global info, i have seen that before. Really explaining how this works. Or which Woocommerce or third party filter plugins works?

Because it is not clear to me if i have a second language and my prods are set to "use translation if available or fallback to default language" and my attributes are not translated, wil these attribute filters show up in my second language. I use the standard Woo attribute filter widget.

Help i'm lost, how does this work?

Regards Rob

Hello Rob,

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with WPML. There could be a variety of different reasons for this, including third-party plugins or other factors that are difficult to diagnose without more information.

Before we dive into troubleshooting, I want to point you towards some helpful resources that may be able to address your issue more directly.

Firstly, we have a compatibility page where you can check if any of your plugins are known to be incompatible with WPML https://wpml.org/plugin/.

We also have a general page that provides guidance on how to set up a WooCommerce store with multiple languages and currencies https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/.

To give you a better idea of how things work, I've created a small demo for you with a standard filter. If you've selected the "Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language" option for your products and want to display attributes that haven't been translated, you'll need to adjust the setting for those attributes in WPML → Settings (see images).

If you've already translated your product or the attribute assigned to it, this method may not work for you and you'll need to translate the remaining attributes (or products).

Finally, if you're still having trouble, you can review the attribute filter here hidden link.

Hi Andrey

Thank you for explaining.

Maybe it is wise you add the explanation above to the Woocommerce page.
This is something like b2b shops need. They use simple Woo order forms.
That's why a lot of b2b sites keep the products in the default language.

Also there is a lot of problems with the Lookup table update.
'Enable table usage Use the product attributes lookup table for catalog filtering'
It needs to be disabled.
Because WPML cant work with it on some of my sites?
Is there any update in this?

You can add that also to the Woo page.
It's a stumble upon each time.

😉

I did manage to do the fix. But i don't want another topic where somebody else must dive in to fix his problem. We need to know when wil wpml finally support the new data look up table? And add all this information to the Woo documentation page. Because all basic is there, but the problems where everybody is writing topics about this info is missing.

Thanks for support hope it wil added soon 😉

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. After checking our internal system, I could not find any open issues regarding the Product lookup tables. I understand that you may not want to go into further detail, but to ensure that your issue receives the necessary attention, please consider opening a new ticket and providing a detailed account of your problem.

I wanted to let you know that we are continually improving the WPML and Woocommerce experience, as well as our site documentation.
