Dear support

I needed to capture 27 posts from an old website to a new website. Here I could define the original date from the past. But when I made the translations for FR, IT and EN, it did not take the date of the original post in German, but the date of the day where I made the translations.

Question: when I customize the FR, IT and EN translations (see screenshot), how can I display the date of the original post in German in the left half of the overview and assign it to the respective translation on the right?

Kind regards and best thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

To copy the original date of a post into the translation go to WPML->Settings->Posts and pages synchronization and enable " Copy publishing date to translations".

Regarding your second question I am not able to see a screenshot, but it sounds like you are looking to change the default structure of your posts, for this you might need to do some custom CSS.

Dear Bobby

Thank you for your answer!

I have made the required setting, but unfortunately I do not see the date in Translation Managament. Does the activation of this setting also have a retroactive effect? Please note screenshot

Hello,

By enabling this feature the date of your default language's posts will be copied into the translation.

So if a post was created on 1/1/2022 and you add the translation today the translated post will showcase 1/1/2022 instead of 5/17/2022.

As the date is copied it will not display in the translation editor.
