Hello,

Two months ago I asked if there was a way to exclude some posts from the auto translator. I was told for now I cannot exclude the posts. I also was told there was a feature available in the next version of WPML. And I was wondering if this feature is added?

See previous ticket:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/exclude-post-from-auto-translator/

Please let me know.

Hello,

Yes, you will find a new feature in WPML 4.6.0 which is now available for download here:
https://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog

With this version, you are able to choose each content if the translation should use the Advanced Translation Editor or if you translate manually, without the WPML Translation Editor.

The new features are:

- Ability to send content to Automatic Translation from the Translation Management Dashboard.
- Ability to retranslate a completed translation by overwriting the existing translation memory.
- New WPML Language Switcher block that can be used within the Block Editor, Site Editor, and the WordPress Navigation block itself.
- Improved flow and options for selecting the site’s translation mode.
- New option to pause Automatic Translation in the WPML Setup Wizard, Translation Management Dashboard, and from the WPML status bar when Translate Everything is selected.
- Automatic translation engine selection is now available on the WPML Settings page.
- The Language Switcher flags are now displayed in SVG file format by default.
- Unified and redesigned UX to display background tasks and notifications for asynchronous processes.
- Made visible the background process that checks if affected posts need to be retranslated after changing Custom Fields translation settings.
- Introduced a new option to switch between PNG and SVG flags in the WPML → Languages settings.

Best regards
Andreas

Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply and the update. I've tested the switch to WP editor. It works really nice. I'm now hoping the auto translator skips those posts.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply and I am glad to hear that this worked out as expected.

Please take note, that if later on, you decide to enable the WPML Translation Editor again on this content, the manual translation from the WP Editor will be overwritten and lost once you apply a translation from the WPML Translation Editor.

Translations created inside the WP Editor will not show up on the WPML Translation Editor.

More details:

Let me know if you do have further questions.

Best regards
Andreas

Hello,

Thank you for pointing that out. As far as I know. This selection of messages will no longer be automatically translated. They have been correctly translated by someone himself.

Thanks again for all the help again! It is much appreciated.
