This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing issues with translating the footer and header using Elementor and the Masterstudy template. When switching languages, a different footer appeared, and the header transparency settings were not consistent across languages.

Solution:
Step 1: To translate the footer, we advised the client to either use "WPML > String translation" or create widgets for each language. We provided a documentation link for further guidance:
Translating Widgets documentation.

Step 2: For the Elementor-created footer not appearing in other languages, we instructed the client to go to "Appearance > Elementor Header & Footer Builder" and translate the Footer there. Additionally, we recommended translating the menus included in the footer by following this guide:
Translating Menus documentation.

Step 3: To address the issue of the header not being transparent on translated pages, we suggested the following:
- Navigate to WPML > Settings and locate the 'Custom Field Translation' section.
- Search for

transparent_header

and set its translation preference to "Copy" if it appears in the results.
- Save the changes, then edit the default homepage in WordPress Editor, make a minor change, and update the translation.

If these solutions do not resolve the issues or if they seem outdated or irrelevant to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly suggest checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.

Hi,

I am using Elementor and the Template "Masterstudy". The template includes a footer which I tried to translate. But when I switch between languages a completely different footer appears. The page is in maintenance mode. Shall I provide the login data?

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with first debugging steps or if I can perhaps help with the issue quickly.

Please provide us with your debug info, this way we can check some of your settings to see if everything is set up correctly. Here's a detailed explanation on how to do that:
https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/#:~:text=You%20can%20provide%20your%20debug,versions%20with%20the%20support%20team.

Besides that, were you able to complete the translation of the Footer? Please send us screenshots and examples of the issue.

One of my colleagues will soon come to continue support.

Hello There,
I hope you're doing well. I have taken over this ticket and would be happy to assist you in this matter.

I understand the issue you're having. As far as I checked the documentation of Masterstudy Theme, the contents in the footer can be added through WordPress Widgets. In that case, you can translate the Footer either from "WPML > String translation" or by creating widgets for each language. Please check the guide below to understand the overall process.

I hope it will help you to effectively translate the footer.

But, if the issue persists, a closer inspection will be required to understand the root cause of the issue.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

IMPORTANT
-Please backup site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit

Hello There,
Thank you for sharing the access information.

The footer is created using the "Elementor Header and Footer" plugin but has not been translated yet, Which is why in other languages, the theme's default footer appears.

Please go to "Appearance > Elementor Header & Footer Builder' and translate the Footer into other languages. The footer now should appear properly in other languages.

Since you have added Menus to the Footer, make sure to translate the menu as well by following the guide below so that the menu also appears translated.

Let me know if the information above helps or if you need further assistance. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hello Hanna,
Thank you for the update.

Glad to hear that the issue with Footer is resolved now.

I have checked and found that you have selected the header to appear Transparent from the Page settings(Screenshot: hidden link). That setting is not copied to the Translation. Which is why, the header doesn't appear Transparent on the translated pages.

Here is what you can do to solve the issue.

- Please go to WPML > Settings and scroll to the 'Custom Field Translation' section.
- In the search box, enter `transparent_header`
- If the field appears in the result, set the translation preference for the field to "Copy" and save the changes.
- Once done, open the default homepage in WordPress Editor.
- Make a small change in the title and save the changes. Then update the translation.

The Header setting will be copied to the translation and the header will also appear transparent after that.

Let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
