This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with losing translations or changes when editing a page in a language that is not the original, and you're using Elementor, it's important to identify the original language of your pages.
Solution:
We recommend checking the right sidebar in the WordPress Editor to identify if you are working with the original content or a translation. For original content, the sidebar will include options to select the translation method, either 'WPML Translation Editor' or 'WordPress Editor'. For translations, the sidebar will display a field indicating 'This is a translation of...'. Additionally, you can set the source language for each content in the right sidebar to manually connect translations. If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
