This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with Google search results not displaying correctly for different languages, despite using WPML.
Solution:
We recommend verifying that the hreflang tags are implemented correctly on your site, as these are crucial for multilingual SEO and correct language-specific page indexing by Google. If the hreflang tags are working as expected and you still face issues with Google SERPs, the problem might lie outside WPML's control. In such cases, contacting Google support is advisable.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket with us.

Background of the issue:
I searched for Google on our company name "Shadowwindows", and it shows the English version of our website, even though my browser language is Danish, and I tried different browsers as well. I want it to show the Danish one.

Symptoms:
My website shows the English version in Google results, instead of the original one.

Questions:
How can I make Google show the Danish version of my website instead of the English one?

Hi,

thanks for contacting us.

WPML has no way to change Google results, and SERP links can be the results of various factors, not only browser language.

The only thing I can tell you is that the hreflang are working as expected, for anything else you should contact Google support.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
Can you see if the site language is set to Danish, because I am not sure if it's working correctly?

Yes, the default language is Danish. You can see it from WPML > Languages
