I am trying to: traduire des éléments (section, ligne, modules) globalisés (modifications synchronisés partout où ils sont insérés).

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: voir screenshot

Hello,

you posted your reply in french but in the English support forum.

Is it okay if we continue in English? If so, can you please explain what seems to be the issue?

Make sure you have checked and followed our Divi-related docs:

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,

thanks for getting back and sharing the video, it was very helpful.

I would like us to proceed and try to reproduce this issue on the test site, so I can report this to our compatibility devs for further check.

I created a minimal installation of WordPress, WPML, and all necessary WPML add-ons.

You can access the WordPress dashboard using the link below:
- hidden link

Kindly follow the steps below:
- Set up WPML
- Install the necessary theme
- Try to replicate the issue.

This will help us to report the probable issue to the compatibility team and solve the possible problem faster.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,

thanks for taking the time to test the problem.

Sure, can you please try next:

Can you please check if the issue happens when only WPML plugins are activated, and all other plugins are disabled?

Please use the Divi default parent theme.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Drazen

When only WPML plugins are activated and the Divi default parent theme activated, the french section is still recorded in english. But I can load it in a french page as it loads only english layout...

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

Please make a full backup of your site (files and database) and confirm it in your next reply.
If possible please provide access to the staging website, not production.

Please note, that I might need to do some debugging procedures like enable/disable plugins, switch themes, change the default language of the user account, and/or access your website database to debug the issue furtherly.

I will share with you any changes or steps done in this process. Please let me know if you do not agree with the above or if I do not have your permission for any.

I would need to access both your site's wp-admin and FTP account, if possible.

I have enabled the private username and password fields in your next reply.

I suggest you create a new user, set it as an administrator and then add those credentials in the private fields mentioned.

You can safely add your information into these fields.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,

thanks for your patience.

We have checked further on this, and it seems it is a specific edge case for your installation, it doesn't happen on any new website. We debugged further but for now, we couldn't find any specific reasons why would this happen or a valid fix for your case.

The best we can do is suggest using a workaround and duplicate the saved layout and then change manually corresponding language.

Hope you will understand.

Regards,
Drazen
