This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
After translating my pages, the slider section is still not translated.
Solution:
The site's default language was French, but the slider's text was created in English so it couldn't be translated.
The issue can be fixed by editing the original slider and making the text in the site's default language.
