Hello There, I checked the entire conversation you had with my colleague and understand the issue. Since you provided the access details, I turned off automatic translation and then updated the translation of the Homepage. After completing the translation, I observed the Update spinner spinning for a while, and then the Pencil icon appeared correctly, indicating that the translation was successfully completed. Please refer to this screenshot for more details: hidden link In the ATE Error log, I noticed an "Active Record not Found" error, which mostly appears due to not configuring the First Name and Last Name for the Profile. If you ever encounter the issue again, please ensure that the First name and Last name are added properly to your Profile(Users > Profile). If you have a Translator, ensure that the profile of the Translator is also updated with the First name and last name. Please let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter. Best regards, |

Hi Prosenjit, thank you for your response. Just to clarify, Do you mean adding properly the fields I find in my Account Setting? (See screenshot attached). On the other hand, can you help me in how should I configure WPML to translate a custom field from a personalized custom post type? Best regards, Joan |

Hello Joan, I was referring to the WordPress profile. Please navigate to "Users > Profile" from your WordPress dashboard and update the First Name and Last Name there. In response to your query regarding translating the custom fields: The custom fields in the backend should be listed in the "WPML > Settings > Custom Field Translation" section. From there, you can search for the field that you want to translate. If the field appears in the result, set the translation preference for the field to "Copy". If you're not seeing the field, you can also click on the "Show system field' link in the "Custom field Translation" section. For more information, please check this documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-fields/ I hope it helps. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. I will be happy to help. Best regards, |

Hi Prosenjit, we are still experimenting issues with the translations. When we send any page to translate the system reports a critical error, as shown in the attached picture. Can you help us on this issue. Thanks, Joan |

Hello Joan, Would you kindly enable the debug log by following the guide below and check if any error is getting recorded in the debug log file? - https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/ After activating the debug log, kindly try to send the page for translation several times. This process will help in capturing any errors in the debug log file. If you observe an error in the log, please upload the file to Pastebin or a similar text-sharing platform, and share the link with us. This approach will help us maintain a clear and organized conversation. Looking forward to your response. Best regards, |

Hello Joan, Thank you for enabling the WP Debug. I made a new page to see the issue and upon sending it for translation, I found that it was sent smoothly to the Translation Editor without any Fatal Error. The translation was also completed without any problems. For a better understanding, please this video: hidden link Can you please tell me where/how should I check to see the Fatal Error? If it is happening on a specific page, please share the link to that page. I will take another closer look and try my best to solve it. Best regards, |

Hi Prosenjit, we have followed all your instructions and have sent the pages to translate. However, when we try to previsualize them it seems they are not recognized, as if they didn't exist, although the wpml editor show them as correctly translated. We have removed the translations in order to let you make the process from the beginning and see the issue. The pages to translate are the following: hidden link Please, let us know how how to fix it as soon as possible. Hello Joan, To maintain clarity and organization in each thread, we are allowed to discuss one issue per thread. Since the issue that you mentioned in the previous response is different than the issue you reported while creating the ticket, I created a new ticket for you to address it separately. Me or one of our supporters will take the ticket and assist you accordingly. Thank you for understanding the matter. If the issue with the Fatal error is resolved now, please consider marking this thread as resolved. Otherwise, feel free to let me know if you need further assistance, I will be happy to help. Best regards, |
