This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are setting up WPML to use a different domain (.no) for the Norwegian language on your site and encountering a 'not valid' error when adding the .no domain in WPML settings. The error persists regardless of the URL format used.
Solution:
First, ensure that the domains are configured correctly. Before setting the option in WPML, visit your new domains or subdomains. They should display the same site without redirection. We recommend checking with your hosting provider or domain registrar to resolve these issues.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, we encourage you to open a new support ticket for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to set up WPML to use a different domain (.no) for the Norwegian language on my site hidden link. I am following the documentation provided by WPML for using different domains per language.

Symptoms:
I get a 'not valid' error when trying to add the .no URL in the settings, regardless of whether I use hidden link, hidden link, hidden link, or just the URL.

Questions:
Why am I getting a 'not valid' error when adding the .no domain for Norwegian language in WPML settings?

Hello,

I think there is something off in the configuration of the domains.

If you check this documentation:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/#testing-if-the-domains-are-set-properly

It says:

It’s easy to check if the domains are set up properly. Before you set the option in WPML, simply visit your new domains or subdomains. They should all show the same site without a redirection.

I visited:
hidden link and get

This site can’t provide a secure connection
hidden link uses an unsupported protocol.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

and hidden link redirects to hidden link

Can you please check it with your hosting or domain registrar?

Best Regards,
Otto
