[Resolved] Content disappeared after activating WPML
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: After activating the WPML Plugin, all original content on the site disappears except for the homepage. Deactivating WPML restores the content. The issue is linked to the \WprAddons\Classes\Utilities::get_template_slug in the royal-elementor-addons plugin, where a specific template slug causes the content to disappear when WPML is active. Solution:/ The is an issue with the Royal Elementor Addons plugin. To resolve this issue, follow these steps: 1. Back up your site's database. 2. Access your site's database (using the tool provided by your hosting service). 3. In the
wp_options
table, search for the
option_name
'wpr_single_conditions' or run the following SQL query:
SELECT * FROM `wp_options` WHERE `option_name` LIKE '%wpr_single_conditions%'
5. Save the changes. This adjustment should restore the visibility of your original content while WPML is active.
Please note that this solution might become outdated or may not apply to your specific situation. We recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
After installing and activating the WPML Plugin, all original content from my site disappeared, except for the homepage. Deactivating the plugin restores everything to normal. The translated versions of the pages are still visible even when the original content is not.
Symptoms:
Original content disappears after activating WPML, but the homepage and translated versions remain visible.
Questions:
Why does the original content disappear after activating WPML?
How can I ensure that the original content remains visible after activating WPML?
Hi, and thanks for following my suggestions and finding the culprit plugin.
The Royal Elementor Addons plugin is not officially compatible with WPML. It is not on our list here - Royal Elementor Addons.
To try to help you, we need to replicate this issue on a fresh WordPress installation. Then, I'll be able to escalate it to our compatibility team. For this, I created a test website with a clean WordPress install. You can access it through this link:

With this link, you'll be directly logged in.
Could you please install the Royal Elementor Addons plugin and see if the issue is replicable on a clean WordPress installation?
I already configured WPML to have German as the default language and French as the second language. It's the same as on your site. Please also ensure you install the latest version of the plugin. Please let us know when everything is finished, and you can replicate the problem. Important! Do not import your site to the test site. We must replicate the problem on a fresh, clean WordPress installation.
It would be great if you could contact the authors and urge them to join our Go Global Program. Details about it are here.
I've added the Royal Elementor Addons Plugin to the site - I also had to add the Elementor Plugin, otherwise RAE plugin could not be activated.
I've also contacted the RAE Team with your request to join the go global program. However, I was wondering if my issue will only be resolved if the authors decide to do so, or if this was just an addition and you will be able to resolve the issue regardless?
Thanks for adding Elementorand the Royal Elementor Addons plugin to the test site.
However, we need your help replicating the problem on the test site.
Are you able to replicate it there as well?
We always try to do our best to help our clients. But please know that in compatibility cases with third-party themes and plugins, we might need the author's cooperation to resolve the issue. We still can't know if this is your case. First, we need to understand what is causing the issue.
Sorry for the delay, I will try to put some test content on the test site to see if the issue replicates and will let you know today.
Just to let you know, the Royal Elementor Addons Support answered, that they tested compatibility of WPML an RAE and everything worked fine. They forwarded to their technical Team, but said everything should work normally.
for some reason I cant properly apply credits to the test site - also, I would not like to use our paid credits for this kind of testing.
Site works well so far, but I have not been able to do automatic translations because of the credits, so I wasn't able to replicate this issue.
Is there a way for you to solve this issue in an easier way? We need to get live with translations this week Wednesday, so in the worst case we'd have to change translation plugins
The sandbox site has an automatic dummy translation. It does not actually translate into other languages but only adds the language code at the beginning of each string. This is sufficient to debug an issue. I enabled the automatic translation on the sandbox site.
Does the German content disappear after translating the pages with the RAE plugin?
If the problem can't be replicated on the sandbox site, I will need a copy of your site, and then I'll escalate it to our second-tier supporters. For this, I need your permission to install a plugin like Duplicator or All-in-One WP Migration.
Do you allow me to do that?
In any case, I can't promise that we can solve the problem until Wednesday.
I've installed the All-in-One WP Migration plugin and created a copy of your site. We will investigate this issue and update you once we have news about it.
