[Resolved] Google not indexing my translate article
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is facing an issue where translated articles are not being indexed automatically by Google, and they are concerned about having to manually request indexing each time. Solution: We recommend ensuring that Google can crawl and index your site automatically. Although WPML does not have a built-in feature for automatic indexing as this process is controlled by Google, you can request Google to index your entire site. Please read about requesting Google to recrawl your site here: Google Recrawl Documentation. Keep in mind that crawling can take a few days or weeks.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML Support Forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
I’ve updated WordPress and installed the WPML SEO plugin.
However, articles in languages other than English are not being indexed by Google, even though everything else seems to be working fine. Could you please check an article in a language other than English to investigate further?
I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely.
Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in the admin and on the frontend.
IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss. I may need to activate/deactivate plugins also.
Your site does not have the Yoast XML sitemaps feature activated. Please see the attached screenshot. The sitemap feature is essential for getting Google and other search engines to index your site.
A good XML sitemap acts as a roadmap of your website that leads Google to all your important pages. XML sitemaps can be good for SEO, allowing Google to find your essential pages quickly, even if your internal linking isn't perfect.
The above is from the following link to the Yoast article about the sitemap feature. Please read it and activate the sitemaps feature on your site. It will surely improve Google's indexing of your site.

Thank you for your response. We are currently using a different plugin for our sitemap, which is why the Yoast sitemap feature isn't activated. We're also facing an issue with Yoast updates. Please check our sitemap using the following link: [hidden link;.
We are using the XML Sitemap Generator for Google for our sitemaps. Let me know if you need any further details or assistance.
We have tried the "Request Indexing" option and successfully indexed a few pages manually. However, we believe this process should be automatic, rather than needing manual intervention each time.
Could you advise on how to ensure our site is indexed automatically, without relying on manual requests?
