Hello there

Thank you for contacting us. I am happy to help you.

Administrator language is based on the profile language. You need to go to your profile page and change the display language ( WP > Users > Profile )

This feature is provided by WordPress after version 4.7.

You can read more here :

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/setting-the-wordpress-administration-language/

I hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes or if you need any further assistance. I'll gladly help you. 🙂

Regards,
Andreas

Thank you very much for your efforts.

Would you be willing to provide me with WordPress credentials so I could investigate the issue directly?

And send me this in order to understand which parts are :
- a page or page in question (at least one example) where the issue is to be seen
- screenshots would also help me understand this - screenshots on that post/page

https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

I marked your next reply as private so that you can safely add credentials.

Regards,
Andreas

Thank you very much for the access.

From your screencast, I understand that you are looking at the wrong menu.

Our documentation says that you need to go to Users -> Your profile and not Settings -> General.

I have prepared a screencast for you :

As you can see I am able to change the language from there in ENG or ES.

Some more details are :

1) The top language admin bar has nothing to do with the administrator language, but with content language, for example, Post, Page content translations

2) If you change the administrator language and some parts are not translated, that means that the plugin author is not added the proper translation language. You can use WPML String Translation to add your translation

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

My apologies if I am not understand something correctly. if not please give more information.

Regards,
Andreas
