Hi, I just spoke with you about another case. But i didnt quite finish before the chat was closed. When i activate the lightspeed cashing plugin it mess up the trnaslated version of the site. Do you have any issues with that plugin?
I did see it, but if it still redirects without WPML it means it is not correct.
As our docs say:
It’s easy to check if the domains are set up properly. Before you set the option in WPML, simply visit your new domains or subdomains. They should all show the same site without a redirection.
For example, if you have the domains “example.com” and “example.de” (and WPML is deactivated) you should see the same content when you visit any of these domains.
Please advise further with your domain or hosting support and make sure it works as explained.
I dont know what to say. My hosting provider says its setup correct.
I have disabled WPML, can you check if it how you mean?
Hosting provider write this below:
They write:
The domains are immediately set up correctly on the web hotel. The .dk domain is associated with the web hotel on the .eu domain and pointed to it.
How you want to set up WPML is really up to you.
They should be able to help if you find that it doesn't work.
And:
I don't think that's what they mean.
They just think that with their plugin disabled, it's just the same content that is displayed. It is not necessarily that the same domain appears.
It is difficult for us to check if the issue is related to WPML or would happen also if WPML was not there.
What I see there are errors in loading CSS/JS on your 2nd domain, if it is related to WPML it is difficult to say since there is no way to check in conditions you have.
Let me try to set up your website on our hosting with 2 domains and see if the same issue happens there when WPML is disabled or there is WPML issue.
I will provide more info in my next private reply.
I have checked and it works fine, so it seems to be related to your hosting/environment.
I am afraid there is not much I can do here to confirm if related to WPML or not, since it doesn't happen to us.
To proceed, I would need either to:
a) Have you provided me a staging site with different domains where I can see the issue and check the issue further?
b) You have websites/domains that do not redirect when WPML is disabled so we can confirm if it only happens when WPML is enabled or related to different domains and LS.
Please note I suspect this configuration you have with domains is probably causing an issue with LS loading files and is not a WPML issue but LS can not load the correct CSS/JS, but it is only a guess since I do not see any other related issue reported to us.
Hope you understand our side here, we can not check or confirm the issue since there is no way for us to check, and I think the easiest would be to re-configure domains to be as explained.
My hosting provider says that the domain is setup correctlly. So can you please explain what i need to do diffrent.
Webserver that host the site is setup with hidden link
The tradetechnology.dk domain points to the webserver.
What do i need to change or do differnt since you keep saying its setup wrong.
You have access to the server and you can go and have a look.
Please note that now light speed cache is disabled. Try to enable it at see the .dk site.
I am afraid I can not advise on hosting settings or how it needs to be done, it is not in our scope nor it is allowed for us to check clients server settings.
I can only tell you how it needs to work and it is up to you / domain support to set it up like that.
Please check how can they be set up so both domains are working and WPML is disabled on your site, no redirect happens from dk to eu or vicaverse, both domains need to work, open fine, and show the same website, while WPML is disabled.
Regards,
Drazen
