This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client wanted to know if it's possible to use a combination of language URL formats on the same site, specifically using "A different domain per language" for some languages while keeping others as "Different languages in directories".
Solution:
We explained that this configuration is not possible within the WPML settings. For more details on what is possible and the limitations, we recommended checking the WPML documentation on language URL options. You can find more information here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. For further assistance, you can contact us directly through the WPML support forum.
