This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with both automatic and manual translations not working on their WordPress site after installing the WPML plugin. They have completed translations on a staging site and are now looking to apply these to the live site without purchasing additional credits.
Solution:
First, ensure that the WPML plugin is properly installed and activated on your live site. You can follow the installation guide here: WPML Installation Guide.
Next, to transfer completed translations from the staging to the live site, use the WPML's Translation Management tools. Detailed steps can be found here: Translating Your Content.
Regarding the WPML license for the live site, you do not need to purchase additional credits if you have already done so for the staging site. Simply log in to your WPML account and follow the instructions to activate the license on your live site.

If these steps do not resolve your issues or if the information provided becomes outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still face problems, please open a new support ticket.

Hi,

I've checked further locally and I noticed that you are using custom body templates, please try translating them and checking if the issue persists.

From WPML -> Translations, filtering by "Body templates" you can see that only one template is translated, the one on the page "Acsia | Information Security", which shows translated on the front-end as well.

Let me know how it proceeds,
Marsel

Hi Marsel,

As per your instructions, I have translated all the pages except for the ones listed below. Could you please guide me on how to translate these as well?

Hi,

I've checked the website and on my end, the page: hidden link shows translated correctly.

Related to the events and contact us page, could you please try to make a small change to them (ex. adding a "+" sign to the title or somewhere on the content) and translate them again (you won't be charged if any translation is done).

Let me know how it goes,
Marsel

Based on your instructions, I've edited the contact page content and translated it again but still not working.

However, under WPML -> Translation Management, when filtering by "Body templates," there are three body templates for the contact us but I have only one contact page. When reviewing these translations, none of them display the updated content from the contact page. Instead, all three templates show different content.

Below is the attached screenshot, which you can check as well.

Could you please explain why this is happening?

Hi,

I've checked further and I reviewed those translations that were pending review, I also tried to translate the About Us page again but without success. I found the strings of the page on WPML -> String translation, but even translating them in there it makes no difference.

Would it be possible to update all the plugins that require updating, clear the cache disable the cache plugin (server-side included please), and let me know so I can check further?

Looking forward to your reply,
Marsel

Hi,

Since you already have the files and database for our project, please update all the necessary plugins and check if everything works correctly. While running the project on your local system or test server, there shouldn't be any server cache issues, so there's no need to disable the server cache.

Hi Marsel

Haven't heard back from you for more than 48 hours!!

For almost a month now my team has been going back and forth with you on getting the German translation resolved for our website hidden link.

I have engaged a web dev agency and we are paying them by the hour. We have already overshot our budget by a mile. We have also paid the platform fee and credits for WMPL.

I need a resolution that is acceptable and within a definite timeline. If your platform cannot deliver as promised, please be kind enough to discuss a refund.

If this issue has to be escalated, please do so now.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

I apologize for any inconvenience caused and for the delay in my response. Troubleshooting can take some time, and we handle multiple tickets simultaneously to assist everyone.

I understand the resolution timing might seem lengthy, but please note there was a pause in our communication from August 1-13. Since then, we have been addressing the issue daily, including a slight delay due to your privacy policy requirements.

The matter has been escalated to our 2nd tier support team, and I will provide an update as soon as I receive feedback from them.

Thank you for your understanding and your patience.

Kind regards,
Marsel

All translations are completed on the staging site. Now, I want to configure and translate the live site. You mentioned earlier that we don't need to purchase additional credits for the live site. Could you please guide me on how to enable WPML license and how to translate all the existing pages on the live site?

Hi,

my name is Marcel, and I will take over your ticket.

You wrote, "All translations are completed on the staging site". Do you mean the issue with the page "Acsia | Contact Us" is solved now? We can't access your site anymore to check.

Please let us know.
I created a separate ticket for your additional question regarding the live site.

Best Regards,
Marcel
