This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client installed the new Buddyboss Glue addon and encountered issues with managing translations of profile types. They observed duplicated entries.
Solution:
1. Set profile types as not translatable in the new BPML version. Instead, use WPML > String Translation to manage these translations.
2. Delete any duplicated profile type entries.

For further details on managing translations, visit the WPML documentation: Translating Your Contents.

Background of the issue:
I installed the brand new Buddyboss Glue addon and deleted my old profile types to start new. I am trying to manage profile types for users on a site under development.

Symptoms:
When I try to add a profile type to a user, I see a list of translations of profile types in the dropdown list, including other translations in English. I am confused about the various possibilities to translate the profile type.

Questions:
How do I manage translations of profile types in the Buddyboss Glue addon?
Where can I find the section for pages in my version of the addon?

Hello,

In the new BPML version, we are setting profile types as not translatable. They should be translated using string translator, instead of translating profile types directly as a post/term.

This might be the reason for the issue. Please delete the duplicated entries of profile types, then translate the profile types with WPML > String Translation.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
Thanks, with this info I have the profile types in place, and I already treated the group types the same way.

One question I have to the new version of WPML.
1) in the strings translation I added the translation of the profile types manual
2) in the automatic translations area those strings are shown as non translated
Is this ok, or should I change the setup of WPML?
(see the attached images)

Thanks, kind regards
Eric

after this the area of automatic translations shows untranslated the the same strings.png

It seems you get a notification on WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard that you are out of credits to create further automatic translations.

On top of the screen please disable the "Translate Everything Automatically" mode and this usually should solve the issue.

If not, please let me know.

Hi,
The new WPML has some changes. I am missing the switchers for automatic / not automatic translations in the setting. And if I now would change to automatic translation of everything it shows me > 2000 posts, I don't know what this is and don't want to start a translation for this. How can I see the > 2000 posts?
Every further advice is welcome.
Thanks, kind regards
Eric

In the new "Translate Everything Automatically" mode you will be asked how to proceed when sending a post type for the first time to translation.

Also, the Translation Management Dashboard by default will only display posts or pages that are currently not completed. You will need to use the status filters to change that.

The translation preference for automatic translation was removed from the post-type settings.

Let's say the post type was earlier excluded from automatic translation, then when sending a post to automatic translation in the last step of the page you will be asked if you want to make sure that all posts will be translated automatically or only the currently selected post.

You have more control over what to send to translation if you disable "Translate "Everything Automatically" at WPML > Translation Management > Dashboard.

You should be able to set the filter to your needs and see all the contents of the page. Make sure that you filter for all contents, not only specific post statuses.
