worked for the longest time without interruption, suddenly stopped working, stating:

You don't have enough credits to translate automatically!
Get more credits

I assume pay-as-you-go rates only apply to a certain word count, whereafter I must buy additional credits and cannot receive the same rate as I did for pay-as-you-go? Or is it jsut a bug in your system?

Hi there,

I will add the first reply before this ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues.

Most probably you hit one of the security payment thresholds with the amount of words you used in a month.

If you use pay-as-you-go, there are two safety limits that prevent you from accidentally spending too much and protect us from fraud. These limits occur the first time you spend €100 and €4,000 in one month. If you reach these limits, you will be asked to pay before you can continue translating. At the end of the month, the amount you paid will be deducted from your invoice.

Thanks.

Hi there,

thanks for your reply.

How often is the €100 limit enforced?

In my case, it is the second time for pay-as-you-go that this happens, meaning the €100 limit blocks it. Is this by design, or is it a bug, or is there an issue with my account, since the first time the €100 limit was reached apparently didn't suffice to have my account proceed to the €4000 limit?

Hi Nick,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

The limit is triggered one time for each subscription. I see you had a subscription on Jun 2023, reached the limit but that subscription was canceled and you've created a new subscription. So it is triggered again for the new subscription when you reach the limit.

For now, you can pay for the limit and continue translating content on your site automatically. It is the designed of our systems. Refer documentation
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#are-there-any-limits

I hope I was helpful. Don't hesitate to ask if you find any problem along the way, I'll gladly help you.

where and how do I pay it?

If you go back in my support history, you'll essentially find the exact same issue.

Many times back and forth and your support was unable to explain how to do it.

I believe it was explained that it is automatically deducted by the provided payment option at the end of the month, and there is no way for me to pay it before hat. Else, I would have immediately paid upon receiving the limit notice, but there is no option to do so.

I just checked and the end of the month has passed, but the payment has not been deducted, leaving me unable to use ATE.

How do I fix it?

Hi,

Please go to WPML > Translation Management > Tools tab > You will see a section that displays credit used and amount to pay > Click on Details.
Or you can translate a page/post to a second language > Go to Advanced Translation Editor > Click on Translate Automatically > There will be a popup that asks you to add more credits and you can click on that to pay.

Let me know how it goes.
