[Resolved] Switch from translator service to automatic translation.

You would like to use the "Translation Everything Automatically" mode?

If so, the problem is, that you can only set if a specific post type should be translated automatically or not.

If you use "Translate what you choose" you can select for yourself what should be translated and what now.

As a translation manager you can further create jobs and now determine if you wish to have the job translated automatically or by a local translator, but there is not yet such an option to choose translation services - at least not that I am aware of - as far I understand you are not going to use translation services any more, correct?

IMPORTANT:
This means, in order to exclude contents from this automatic translation or avoid local users could cause a loss of your translation service translations, you will need to:

- disable the WPML Translation Editor on all these original contents on the right sidebar of the WordPress Editor.

If you do this, youThis is the only option for having individual content so far.

You should do this because the translation service translations are not running through the WPML Advanced Translation Editor, so your translations will not show up on this interface and would be overwritten if you translate automatically.

Translation service translations are only available inside the Classic Translation Editor.

Usually, in this case, your translation service translations show up on the Classic Translation Editor, but before you test that, please take a backup of your site.

Now, the Classic Translation Editor does not support automatic translation, so only content that uses the Advanced Translation Editor will be able to use this feature.

In this case, as long you are using translation services, you should translate those contents manually, which means you edit the translations directly on the WordPress Editor on each page.

The only exception would be, that maybe you did all the time the Classic Translation Editor was enabled. In this case, you can actually leave the WPML Translation Editor active for these contents, as by default old content will remain to use the Classic Translation Editor and will be excluded from automatic translations.

This depends on the settings at WPML > Settings > Translation Editor Options.

Now, as can not know if those settings were maybe changed already, I suggest you test this on a Staging site or after taking a backup of your database.

But if for example, you have here the settings "Classic Translation Editor" for old and new content (take note there are two settings), then very likely you never had the Advanced Translation Editor enabled and your translation service contents would be available on the Classic Translation Editor.

If this is the case, then set only new content to use the Advanced Translation Editor and leave the setting for existing content to Classic Translation Editor.

This setting will then open the Advanced Translation Editor for any content that was not yet translated and old translations from translation services should show up on the Classic Translation Editor interface.

No, this is fine - the Classic Translation Editor will remain working for your old contents, and as it is the only Translation Editor that is compatible with translations from Translation Services it will remain to be a part of WPML in the future.
