Tell us what you are trying to do?

When I translate the pages, I have to translate the same texts over and over again.

I think they should be filled in automatically from translation memory.

The images show the editor with the last page I translated and the next page I have to translate.

As you can see, the exact same texts are again blank and need manual translation.

I'm using the advanced translation editor from WPML -> Translations. I have created a bunch of translation jobs (all pages for now) in WPML -> Translation Management before.

How can I make the translation memory work?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-wpml-keeps-track-of-your-translations/
https://wpml.org/faq/why-arent-my-translations-showing/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hi Olga,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

Yes, the translation memory should work to apply the translated content in Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). Please try to edit the page in the original language German > Make a small change to the page title/content > Save > Update the translation in ATE and see how it goes.

If the issue persists, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

When I edit the page "Wintergarten" with Advanced Translation Editor, I see the sentence "Wintergarten | Bio-Hendl | Maishendl" is translated from translation memory as well (German > Romanian). Please check the screenshot attached.

Also note: the translation memory will remember the translation content from language A > B, it doesn't work if you translate the content from language A > C.

Refer documentation

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Maybe I'm stupid, but I just doesn't work for me.

There are no texts taken from translation memory that I could say.

Texts within the same translation objekt are re-used (like if title and heading are the same).

Do I have to do anything to query the translation memory?

If I select a text for translation, the original text is offered in the edit box.

May there be a misconfiguration of some sort with my user / browser / ??

To make sure it's not a problem with my default browser (Safari), I also tried Chrome.

However, the problem ist the same for me there (see images).

Hi,

Do I have to do anything to query the translation memory?
No, it is applied automatically in Advanced Translation Editor.

Please let me know the page and the second language that you are translating. Some full screenshots or a screen record would be better.

I also create a test page to translate the sentence "Wintergarten | Bio-Hendl | Maishendl"(notice the HTML tags also)

<span style="color: #ffffff;"><a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" style="color: #ffffff;">Wintergarten</a> | <a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" style="color: #ffffff;">Bio-Hendl</a> | <a href="/sortiment/landhendl/mais-hendl/" style="color: #ffffff;">Maishendl</a></span>

from German to Romanian and the translation memory works properly. Please check this screen record hidden link

Refer documentation https://wpml.org/faq/why-arent-my-translations-showing/

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
