This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to create or manage translations in WPML due to a domain mismatch or migration assumption between two connected environments: a live site and a backend domain.
Solution:
We recommend checking our documentation on using WPML across multiple domains. This guide provides detailed steps on how to configure WPML to work seamlessly across different domains within the same WordPress installation. Please visit the following link for more information: Using WPML on Two Domains.

Background of the issue:
I am setting up WPML across two connected environments: the live site at hidden link and the backend domain at hidden link, which is accessed via CloudFront. Both URLs point to the same WordPress installation. The backend domain is mainly used for admin/backend access, while the live site is public-facing. I have registered website.skillcourt.cloud as a copy of the live site.

Symptoms:
I am unable to create or manage translations because WPML seems to restrict editing due to a domain mismatch or migration assumption.

Questions:
How can I ensure both domains are correctly linked in WPML so that I can manage translations from the website.skillcourt.cloud backend and have those updates appear on the live site skillcourt.training?
