[Resolved] Imported posts are not linked to each other
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to import posts via an XML file using WP All Import and WPML All Import, and the posts should be linked to each other based on the same ID. However, some imported posts are not linked despite having the same ID. Solution: We recommend checking the following guides to ensure you are following the correct steps:
The imported file should have an identifier to connect the two languages.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to import posts via an XML file using WP All Import and WPML All Import. The posts should be linked to each other based on the same ID.
Symptoms:
Some imported posts are not linked between each other despite having the same ID.
Questions:
Why are some imported posts not linked between each other despite having the same ID?
How can I ensure that all imported posts are correctly linked?
Hi,
We followed the guides. Everything seems to be connected correctly. The posts have Unique Identifier. But still some of the posts import completely correctly, and some do not have a connection between them.
I imported "Nieruchomości" posts on sandbox. I did it manually from a previously uploaded file.
Unfortunately, I fail to reproduce the problem. I would be happy to forward your login information so you can see the original page and judge for yourself where the error might be coming from.
On the original site, we use import from FTP. There are cron tasks set up on the server that fire off the imports.
Is it correct that posts in Polish and English have the same publication time? Could the error be caused by this?
Thanks for your update. Could you please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps?
1- Deactivate all the plugins except those active ones on the sandbox site.
2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.
3- Run the import manually as you imported it on the sandbox site.
4- Use the exact files you used on the sandbox site.
If the issue is gone, activate them one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue.
❌ Please backup your database before performing the above test ❌
I created a copy of the site and imported the file there manually, just as I did with sandbox (without disabling plug-ins or switching the theme), and there, too, the posts were linked correctly.
I think I will merge each of the posts manually at this point, because due to the changing files sent by the ESTI program on client's server, I am not able to reproduce the problem.
