Solution:
We recommend checking the following guides to ensure you are following the correct steps:

The imported file should have an identifier to connect the two languages.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload.

Please check the following guides and make sure that you follow the mentioned steps:

1- https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-export-and-import/

2- https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-export-and-import/

The imported file should have an identifier to connect the two languages.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,
We followed the guides. Everything seems to be connected correctly. The posts have Unique Identifier. But still some of the posts import completely correctly, and some do not have a connection between them.

Hi,

Thanks for your update. Could you please upload the files you use to import the posts to any file transfer services, such as Google Drive?

After uploading the files, please share the URL with me so I can check them.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the file. Please log in to this sandbox site and import your posts. (hidden link)

Hello Osama,

I imported "Nieruchomości" posts on sandbox. I did it manually from a previously uploaded file.
Unfortunately, I fail to reproduce the problem. I would be happy to forward your login information so you can see the original page and judge for yourself where the error might be coming from.

On the original site, we use import from FTP. There are cron tasks set up on the server that fire off the imports.

Is it correct that posts in Polish and English have the same publication time? Could the error be caused by this?

Hi,

Thanks for your update. Could you please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps?

1- Deactivate all the plugins except those active ones on the sandbox site.
2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.
3- Run the import manually as you imported it on the sandbox site.
4- Use the exact files you used on the sandbox site.

If the issue is gone, activate them one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue.

❌ Please backup your database before performing the above test ❌

Best regards,
Osama

Unfortunately, I can't do it on the live site.

I created a copy of the site and imported the file there manually, just as I did with sandbox (without disabling plug-ins or switching the theme), and there, too, the posts were linked correctly.

I think I will merge each of the posts manually at this point, because due to the changing files sent by the ESTI program on client's server, I am not able to reproduce the problem.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. If the manual import works correctly on the site's copy, the issue might be caused by the import method.

Please let me know if you need further assistance regarding this issue.

Best regards,
Osama
