Problem:
How to use Yoast SEO with WPML - Title is too long in translation Solution:
The green line underneath the SEO title turns red when your title is too long. So keep an eye on that, and use the feedback to create great headlines, and do not make page titles translations too long so that it won't happen in the other languages.
Please, I have a website in 5 languages already done (translation made by humans).
What I want to do now is maintain those translations but adding 15 languages more with WPML translation automatically with IA.
Some questions about using WPML with Yoast SEO:
- Problem is if I activate the wpml translations the Yoast SEO plugin premium does not show the lights anywhere showing if I'm doing correctly or not (I have pages and products) and the typical yoast panel disappears. We have the following panel if we activate wpml translation (Snap below). (but not the original by yoast).
- Means if I want to edit seo yoast part to see colors I should deactivate wpml translation and activate editor WordPress again ?
- Any way to be able to translate with WPML but at same time maintaining the panel of yoast in all translations ?
And as you already have Yoast SEO activated, it adds a meta box to the content editor. There, you can control the page title, meta description, and focus keywords for each page separately. This box will also be visible when you open the translations with your page editor.
However, the dashboard for Yoast SEO can only be configured using your default language.
