I have three translation reviewers, one (Vietnamese) that has used WPML before. However, two do not know what to expect (Chinese Simplied and Chinese / Thai). Initially, I want to feed them the home page and footer for translation first.

For Thai, When I go to those pages, I select the page for transition, and I click on Automatic Translation and then save to memory.

What happens next? Do I click on "Resign". Resign is confusing because this means to quit. Is this a typo? Should this word be "Assign"?

How do I know when the job has been forwarded for Translation Reviewer? How does the Translation reviewer get the job? Is he contacted by email or does he/she have to login? Is there something that you can give me to mentor them on the process?

Thanks,

Jason

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. My name is Nicolas and I will be happy to help you today.

It seems that you assigned those translation to yourself already. That's probably because you used the Automatic translation option from our Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), so basically you were already working on the translation (translation assigned to you).

You can resign from the translation that way another translator can take it.

But let's try to review your workflow and improve it.

1. Use "WPML > Translation Management" to send pages to automatic translation:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/#translating-individual-pages-posts-and-other-content-automatically

2. Add translators/reviewers to your site
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-review-automatic-translations-on-your-site/#adding-other-reviewers-to-your-site

3. Tutorial for reviewers
https://wpml.org/documentation/reviewers/how-to-work-as-a-reviewer/

I think that those 3 documentation should bring you all the answers but don't hesitate if you have further questions.

Nico
